Garuda Indonesia launches new services to London

Garuda Indonesia has launched its new service from London to Jakarta, with the inaugural flight departing from the airline’s new UK home at Terminal 3 of London’s Heathrow Airport.

Jubi Prasetyo, general manager UK & Ireland said: “We were thrilled to see our first flight from our new UK home at London Heathrow take to the skies.
“Being the first and only carrier to fly non-stop to Jakarta, we are now the most efficient way to reach Indonesia from the UK.”

The first and only non-stop flight to connect the UK and Indonesia, GA87 will operate five times per week with departures every day except Mondays and Fridays, serviced by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a three-class configuration.

The change of airport will allow the airline and passengers to take greater advantage of the SkyTeam facilities available at Heathrow and offer seamless connections between member airlines.

The service will cater to business travellers travelling to Jakarta and leisure travellers stopping over on their way to the country’s many paradisiacal locations, including Bali and Lombok.

Return flights to the UK will be via Singapore, conveniently connecting two key business hubs in Asia with London.

Enveloping all five senses, the unique Garuda Indonesia experience on-board, including the smell of aromatic flowers and traditional Indonesian food, ensures that passengers will be immersed in all that Indonesia has to offer.

Once in Jakarta passengers will be able to take advantage of Garuda Indonesia’s onward routes to Australia, various South East Asian destinations and 58 domestic locations.
