People from India can expect to avail of cheaper rates from the following providers – Cathay Pacific, Air Asia, Air India, Malaysian Airlines, Scoot, Qantas Airlines, Thai Airways, and Singapore Airlines.

Rates are varied for the different airlines. Under the Great Airfares Sale program, return tickets for Australia by Singapore Airline will be Rs 50,000, Qantas Airlines will be from Rs 51,000, Air India will be from Rs 54,000, Thai Airlines will be from Rs 55,750, and Cathay Pacific will be from Rs 57,800.

Current rates for flights from India to Australia begin at Rs 60,000. With the program, travelers from the other country can get to save at least Rs 6,000 when visiting the kangaroo country. Qantas currently charges passengers a rate of Rs 54, 700. Similar benefits can be seen from the airlines that joined the program.

Those who want to avail of the promo will have to act soon though since this is only good until June 11. Travel fares are valid until March 2018.

Tourism of Australia says that they offered a similar campaign last year. This they say got them over 10,200 bookings in just a span of three weeks.

According to Nishant Kashikar, Country Manager, India & Gulf, Tourism Australia, they have since recognized that aviation access was a significant part of the success of any destination. He adds that they are extremely proud in being pioneers in programs like this one.
