Air Europa unveils new flights to Paraguay

Air Europa, the Latin American specialist airline, has announced a new twice weekly service from London to Asuncion via Madrid, to be launched this December.

The route is now available for booking with Air Europa.

The Madrid to Asuncion flight will be operated using an Airbus 330-200, with capacity for 299 passengers, 24 in Business Class.

For the London-Madrid route a New Generation Boeing 737-800 will be used.

This news is further confirmation of Air Europa’s position as the airline of choice for UK passengers to Latin America, and will make it the only European carrier flying directly to Paraguay.

The airline is renowned for its highly competitive prices, excellent customer service, and quick, punctual connections, with a twice-daily flight from London Gatwick to its Madrid Barajas hub.

Paraguay is one of Latin America’s fastest-growing economies, and an emerging tourist and business destination, while there is also a sizeable Paraguayan community in Europe.

Asuncion is famed for its mix of sophistication and traditional charm, and the city is a gateway to the country’s rainforests, deserts, colonial towns, authentic rural villages, Jesuit Ruins, and European settlements.

Colin Stewart, UK general manager, Air Europa, said: “We are delighted to add another route to our extensive portfolio in this dynamic region, and you can look forward to more new destinations being announced over the next 12 months

“This year has been a year of consolidation for us after the impressive growth of the preceding years, and we have consolidated our position as the UK’s gateway to Latin America.

“In 2016 we will be expanding again, not only with new routes but also with the arrival of four more Boeing 787 Dreamliners, as part of a plan to incorporate 22 of the state of the art aircraft into our fleet by 2022.”
