The Youth Hostel Association’s ongoing efforts to transform its hostels from spartan, character-building refuges to bright, comfortable alternatives to hotels was recognised at the recent Guardian and Observer Travel Awards when the YHA was voted Best UK Hotel, above a list of established hotel brands.
To celebrate the award and thank Guardian readers, the YHA is offering a 50% reader discount off accommodation at 26 of its hostels in England and Wales. To claim your discount simply visit yha.org.uk/guardianoffer and use the code GUARD-001 when booking.
Accommodation must be booked by 13 December 2014, and the offer is valid for stays until 28 February 2015. The offer is open to individuals and families. Readers access the offer by using the code GUARD-001when booking on yha.org.uk.
