7th Annual Hoedown For HopeGot clients heading to Kauai, Hawaii, this winter and beyond? Here's a trio of upcoming events we thinks would be perfect for families.

Kilohana Plantation is “going country” on March 21 for the 7th Annual Hoedown for Hope benefiting the American Cancer Society. Clients can join in the fun for great country music, dancing and food. Local Kauai group “Not My First Rodeo” will open the night with music. Female duo Maddie and Tae, whose hit single “Girl in a Country Song” topped the billboard charts in December 2014, will headline the event for their first appearance in Hawaii. Gaylord’s restaurant chef Todd Barrett will prepare menu options featuring the flavors of South America as well as favorites from the Midwestern U.S. states, all dishes will include local Kauai grown ingredients. Tickets are $125 per person.

Prince Kuhio Celebration

One of Hawaii’s most beloved alii (royalty) and statesmen, Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole, will be celebrated with a multitude of events in Poipu, Eleele, Lihue and Wailua from March 21-22. The Prince Kuhio Celebration, intended to honor the Prince and his efforts to foster Hawaiian cultural values, provides a long list of interactive educational sessions about Hawaiian cultural practices, arts and crafts and will feature entertainment, cultural exhibits, a luau, rodeo, outrigger canoe races, local food and commemorative ceremonies.

Kauai Orchid and Art Festival

Head down to Historic Hanapepe Town from March 27-28 for the 8th Annual Kauai Orchid and Art Festival. Clients will enjoy a free concert featuring Makana and ukulele talent Brittni Paiva, great food and the amazing display of exotic, tropical orchids at the Garden Island Orchid Society's Spring Fantasy Orchid Show. Plein air painters are also invited to paint in various locations around historic Hanapepe during the festival. Guests can also take a workshop in orchid painting with oils or watercolor paints, shop or browse the silent auction, make a day of it all while cruising around Hanapepe Town and enjoying all that the Orchid and Art Festival has to offer.
