roger bellettiPUNTACANA Resort & Club recently announced the appointment of Roger Belletti as general manager of the Tortuga Bay Hotel. In his new role, Belletti will directly oversee the day-to-day operations of the property, which has 13 beachfront villas.

Belletti brings more than two decades of hospitality management experience to the resort. Prior to joining the PUNTACANA Resort & Club team, Belletti served as general manager of the five-star Punta Molino Beach Resort & Spa in Ischia, Italy, for three years. While there, he was responsible for significantly increasing the property’s Guest Survey Score (GSS).

He was also brought on by Marriott International as pre-opening manager and then general manager of the first JW Marriott in Italy, The Tiberio Palace Capri, a luxury boutique resort on the island of Capri.

Late last year, Tortuga Bay’s canary-hued villas underwent a redesign of its interiors under the watchful eye of Oscar de la Renta. Inspired by the resort’s leafy surroundings, the interiors feature fabrics from de la Renta’s home collection, and natural materials such as indigenous mahogany wood, wicker and rattan.

Tortuga Bay also features a 1,000-square-foot Oscar de la Renta boutique set amongst the villas.
