hurtigrutenHurtigruten has joined Signature Travel Network as its newest Preferred Partner.

“Signature’s member agencies allows us greater access to the vast U.S. market, perfectly targeting the type of educated and sophisticated traveler to whom Signature caters,” said Gordon Dirker, Hurtigruten’s managing director-North America.

Hurtigruten offers expedition cruises to Antarctica, Greenland’s towns and villages, Spitsbergen and Norway's west coast. Under the new Preferred Partner agreement, Signature agents will be able to offer a variety of excursions and expert guides and lecturers as value adds for their clients. Examples include camping on the Antarctic mainland; kayaking among the icebergs; snowmobiling under the Northern Lights of Norway; exploring the snow-encrusted landscapes of Greenland and Spitsbergen – by ship and by foot; hiking among the majestic fjords of Norway; and all while learning about geology, cultures, climate change, marine life and other subjects from experts.

The company also has a brand new travel agent website with a wide scope of support materials in addition to training. The website's features range from webinars, brochure, video and photo libraries, special offers for agents, group planning info, marketing tools and detailed information on all of Hurtigruten’s many adventure products to the names and contact information for their local Hurtigruten sales rep.

Agents can access all of these support materials and training aids at www.hurtigrutenagents.com.
