Clearly structured and with high user value, Germanwings has gone live with a redesigned homepage.
The new website now offers visitors even more information and services.
The new homepage has gone online gradually one region after another over the last few days.
Take the personalised flight monitor for example: air passengers can now get all information about their upcoming flight on the homepage itself and as registered users they also have direct access to the check-in or to options for booking additional services for their flight.
During redesign of the website, optimisation for customers who will be using tablets to book flights, was very important.
As a result, navigation is much simpler and all functionalities can be reached quickly.
One of the most significant improvements is that the trip information available is displayed immediately when the travel dates are selected in the flight search option.
Some routes are not offered on a daily basis, so there simply isn’t an option to select days on which the flight isn’t available.
When selecting flights, the customer is automatically shown the next available date for travel.
The new “flight observation” function offers travellers themselves, or those picking them up, the chance to stay up-to-date on their flight status at all times.
Selected flights automatically appear in the flight monitor on the homepage itself for easy viewing.
In the “My Germanwings” section, Germanwings customers will find a summary of all information concerning their booked flights – with all the details of their bookings.
Here it’s possible to reprint boarding cards at any time and also to check the current status of their Boomerang Club miles.
