British Airways prepares to roll out seven new routes

May looks set to be the busiest month yet this year for British Airways, as it launches another six new short-haul routes and one new long-haul route from London.

The star attraction is the new daily service from Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur, which will appear on the departure board for the first time on May 27th, operated by a Boeing 777 aircraft.

The remaining six sunshine destinations will bump up the number of short-haul routes launched this year to 13, they include: Krakow in Poland and Corfu in Greece, launching on May 1st, Split in Croatia, Kos in Greece and Olbia in Sardinia, all launching from Heathrow this weekend.

Funchal in Madeira will take the total to six, and will start flying from Gatwick from mid-May.

The airline has already launched seven routes since the start of the year, and with 18 new routes in total scheduled for 2015, it makes it the most number of new routes in a twelve month period from British Airways, in over a decade.
