Boeing 787 Dreamliner revolutionises passenger experience at Royal Jordanian

Just three months ago the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner joined the Royal Jordanian fleet and now the airline has announced it has concluded the delivery of the first wave of five craft.

Under the airline’s strategic plan to renew its long-haul fleet, the five new airliners are working on RJ’s medium and long haul routes – replacing the airline’s four Airbus 340s and single Airbus 330.

Taking delivery of the fifth aircraft earlier this month Royal Jordanian’s acting president Haitham Misto said: “We will resume receiving the rest of the ordered Dreamliners in 2016.

“This milestone will help RJ meet its operational needs and leverage the passengers’ experience, particularly when they fly on long-haul flights.

“The state-of-the-art features and high specifications of the 787s are bound to offer higher levels of comfort and luxury.”

In addition to providing airlines with unprecedented fuel economy and low operating costs, RJ will configure its Dreamliner to have 24 business class seats and 246 economy.

Customers in all classes will also experience cabin environment improvements such as LED mood lighting, larger windows, bigger overhead bins, lower cabin altitude and enhanced ventilation systems, among other features.

To support Royal Jordanian’s 787 Dreamliners, Boeing is providing a comprehensive suite of support and services through its Commercial Aviation Services business.
