Just a few months removed from the launch of Avanti Destinations‘ first Asia offerings, the tour operator is already looking to add three new Asia destinations in the form of Singapore, Myanmar (formerly Burma) and South Korea.

Travel Agent met Friday with John Hanratty, chief marketing officer for Avanti Destinations, who told us Singapore should be up and running in about a month to six weeks from now, while Myanmar and South Korea are expected to be added around the fall.

“We are also planning to further expand throughout Asia in '18,” says Hanratty. “As you can see, we want our Asia product to be very broad, but we started off by adding all the hot spots first.”

Avanti Destinations is a travel wholesaler for independent travelers to Asia, Europe and Latin America. Agents should note that all of Avanti's Asia tours are accompanied by a private tour guide.

It was back in October when Avanti announced at a press conference in New York City that it was aggressively expanding its product line to include, at that time, six Asian countries, river cruising in Europe, and small group escorted tours in Europe and Latin America.
