Air Europa will launch a new daily service from London to Bogota via Madrid June 27th next year.
Following the announcement of a new route to Asuncion, Paraguay, last month, this news is further indication of Air Europa’s strategy for growth and expansion over the coming year, as the airline seeks to fill the few remaining gaps in its South American network.
Air Europa will compete as a leading airline flying to Colombia, on the basis of its excellent on-board product, highly competitive prices and second-to-none customer service, from the booking process through to the in-flight experience.
The Madrid to Bogota flight will be operated with a Dreamliner 787, and for the London-Madrid route a New Generation Boeing 737-800 will be used.

The Dreamliner will have seat-back entertainment for every seat, and the whole cabin will be Wi-Fi enabled, offering even greater choice and connectivity for all passengers.
Business Class will also offer 180 degree fully flat beds.
Furthermore, the state-of-the-art aircraft is at the forefront of environmental technology, offering reduced emissions, 20 per cent more fuel efficiency, and use of recycled materials.
Bogota is a huge addition to Air Europa’s portfolio, making the airline a leading player in the region’s second largest country by population.
There is a large Colombian expat population in Europe, estimated at over 400,000, and the country is also fast-emerging as a leading regional tourism and business destination.
Bogota is also a national hub for flights to all of Colombia, which combines breath taking Andean landscapes, some of the world’s most biodiverse jungles, and spectacular beaches, as well as cities combining history, colonial architecture and vibrant, growing business districts.
Colin Stewart, UK director, Air Europa, said: “The coming 12 months will be huge for Air Europa, and this announcement, along with the use of the Dreamliner for the Bogota flight, is an early indication of that.
“This year was a year of consolidation of our position as the airline of choice for Latin America – expect 2016 to be one of expansion and growth, with an emphasis not just on economy but also business passengers,” added Stewart.
