Qatar Airways will operate additional services between Doha and Manchester from February 15th 2015, providing customers with ever more convenient options when transferring onto long-haul services to Africa and Asia Pacific via the state-of-the-art Hamad International Airport.
Operated by a dual class Airbus A330-200 aircraft, the new outbound QR26 and inbound QR25 will operate on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, bringing the total number of flights operated per week non-stop between Manchester and Doha to 14.
Qatar Airways UK & Ireland country manager, Richard Oliver, said: “Increasing services to and from Manchester to a double daily operation will provide our passengers with more convenient connection times and greater choice when connecting to onward flights through our newly opened Doha hub, Hamad International Airport.
“Combined with our recent announcement of the expansion of the Edinburgh service to a daily operation from May 2015, this means that Qatar Airways will operate a total of 63 direct services to Doha a week from the UK providing even more access to 145 destinations worldwide.”
The Manchester to Doha service, which commenced in 2003, recently celebrated a decade of scheduled operations.

With the addition of Edinburgh in May this year, Qatar Airways now serves a total of three destinations in the UK including London Heathrow.
Ken O’Toole, chief commercial officer at Manchester Airports Group said: “We’re delighted that Qatar Airways will increase its long-haul services from Manchester Airport, providing further direct connectivity to Doha and beyond.
“The service will provide increased choice to the 22m passengers living close to Manchester Airport. Customer support for ‘Fly Manchester’ has been fantastic with passengers continuing to choose Manchester over other UK airports as we continue to add new destinations to our network and increase frequency on existing services.”
