Air plane flies over China. As of this month, United Airlines and Air China will be growing their codesharing cooperation, announced officials earlier today.

As part of their new initiative, United and Air China are codesharing on an additional 22 flight routes between the U.S. and China. These new routes will join 110 others on which the airlines have codeshares.

Air China plans to place its code on 12 new United domestic flights, including trips from Los Angeles to Dallas and San Francisco to Salt Lake City. As part of the deal, United will place its code on 10 new Air China domestic flights, including routes from Beijing to Mianyang and Shanghai Pudong to Yinchuan.

This initiative will allow flyers to travel more fluidly within and between the United States and China, the two airlines said.
