Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises have each cancelled calls in Puerto Vallarta.
The Jewel of the Seas will skip its scheduled call for May 12, and the Celebrity Infinity skipped a call that had been scheduled for May 10.
“Jewel of the Seas and Celebrity Infinity's calls to Puerto Vallarta were cancelled due to the recent episodes of violent civil unrest, stemming from criminal gangs that have engaged in armed conflict with local authorities,” A Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. spokesperson tells Travel Agent. “Instead, both ships will spend the day at sea.”
