Tribute Portfolio debuts in Indonesia

Tribute Portfolio, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts is making its debut in Indonesia with the opening of The Hermitage, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Jakarta.

Owned by PT. Menteng Heritage Realty, the brand’s newest hotel is situated in the heart of Jakarta’s prestigious Menteng district, with service and design that encompass both modernity and a bygone era. The Hermitage is set to introduce the brand’s Stay Independent vision to Indonesia’s bustling capital, providing SPG members greater access to coveted destinations such as Jakarta.

“We are thrilled to welcome The Hermitage, Jakarta as the first Tribute Portfolio property in Southeast Asia,” said Dave Marr, Global Brand Leader for Tribute Portfolio. “A historic landmark building and now modern hotel, the Hermitage, Jakarta features design touches and intriguing culinary options that truly exemplify the essence of Tribute Portfolio, and will undoubtedly resonate with our SPG members around the world.”

The Hermitage, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Jakarta occupies a stunning Art Deco structure, with the original building dating back to 1923 as a Dutch Telecommunications office, the Menteng Telefoongebouw. It has been since beautifully restored, with 90 elegant guestrooms and suites that boast high ceilings and large windows, allowing an abundance of natural light to fill the room, as well as stately décor, rich indigenous textiles and plush furniture.

The hotel features four different dining and bar destinations, ranging from locally-inspired rooftop cocktails at La Vue to light fare such as patisseries at the al fresco Courtyard Café. Guests can enjoy luxurious facilities overlooking the glittering Jakarta skyline, including a serene rooftop infinity pool and fitness center. The hotel also provides close to 400 square meters of function space, including an opulent grand ballroom and a versatile meeting room.
