STRATTON, Vt. (AP) — Vermont fire investigators say an early morning fire in the kitchen of a ski lodge at Stratton Mountain caused more than $200,000 in damage.
The cause of Tuesday's fire is undetermined but is not considered to be suspicious.
When firefighters arrived after a heat detector went off in the kitchen of Grizzly's restaurant, the fire had been mostly put out by the sprinkler system.
Investigators say the fire damaged the kitchen and a second floor office, while smoke and water damaged a large area of the base lodge.
