SinglesCruise.com, the United States’ largest organizer of hosted singles cruises, announced that it has fully booked a sailing aboard the S/V Mandalay, a vessel operated by Sail Windjammer. This is the first time SinglesCruise.com has booked an entire ship.
The six-night, barefoot cruise will depart from Grenada on July 3, 2016, and make stops at seven different islands throughout the Caribbean. Because SinglesCruise.com clients will be the only guests onboard, they will have access to a range of onboard activities and amenities, including raising the sails at sunset with live music and a chance to take a turn at the helm. Snorkeling gear will also be provided for each guest.
“SinglesCruise.com clients will have the opportunity to sail to unspoiled beaches, hidden inlets and sparkling warm waters that most conventional cruise ships simply cannot reach,” said Jody Ryland, vice president of SinglesCruise.com.
Island visits and ports of call will include Bequia, where guests can enjoy an island tour through local villages or a trip to The Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary to view turtles at all stages of life, from hatchlings to adult. In Chatham Bay, Union Island travelers will visit several ideal spots for snorkeling, or simply relax on the beach.
Guests will also make stops in Mayreau, the smallest inhabited island of the Grenadines, and Tobago Cays, an archipelago where visitors can snorkel with sea turtles in an established area off the beach in Baradel.
A visit to Carriacou will allow guests a chance to explore the main town and port of Hillsborough offering a range of local shops and dining venues, or take a special island tour with views of the surrounding coral reefs. Just off the coast of Carriacou is Sandy Island, a Marine Protected Area (MPA) where travelers can go snorkeling or view the “rock sculptures” made by previous visitors.
In addition to the Granada sailing, SinglesCruise.com will offer a pre-cruise option for its clients which allows them to meet face-to-face prior to departure. Also, guests will have access to a private online network of other single cruisers, as well as free roommate matching which cuts the cost of reserving a single stateroom by hundreds of dollars.
