Cape Town Tourism has launched a walking tour in collaboration with VoiceMap Walking Route App. Using the app, locals can give first-hand accounts of Cape Town and create walking tours narrated by their own voices.
The neighborhood of Muizenberg is the first to be included on the app.
“Muizenberg is such a fitting neighborhood to kick-off with: a quirky seaside town with both warring and genteel history that is now a casual mix of laid-back restaurants, affordable rentals, surf culture and crammed curio, craft and design shops,” said Velma Corcoran, Cape Town Tourism’s marketing executive.
Cape Town Tourism will also release a neighborhood video series and a mobile app with travel suggestions in mid 2015.
