Legoland Hotel at Legoland Florida Resort just celebrated its grand opening. Here's an inside look at the new family-friendly property.

The grand opening was honored with thousands of colorful Lego minifigures blasting out of cannons atop the hotel and a child discovering a key to open the hotel built for kids.

The new Legoland Hotel debuts several features unique to Legoland Florida Resort.

The hotel offers the only Lego Friends themed guestrooms in the U.S., and the only Lego Friends themed suite in the world. Based on the popular Lego Friends product line, this room theme is closely modeled after the five Lego Friends personalities: Olivia, Stephanie, Emily, Mia and Andrea.

Legoland Hotel is also offering hotel guests exclusive access to a Master Model Builder Workshop by being the first Legoland Resort to move its Model Shop inside the hotel. Hotel guests will be able to build side-by-side with a Master Model Builder during daily build sessions.

The property has 152 guestrooms and suites across four themes: Pirate, Kingdom, Adventure, and Lego Friends. Guests of the hotel also enjoy early access to Legoland Florida Resort, free full breakfast daily, interactive play areas, daily and nightly entertainment, disco elevator, resort pool and more.

Each room sleeps up to five, and offers a king-sized bed for adults and a separate sleeping area for up to three children, featuring a bunk bed and a trundle bed, as well as two flat panel TVs. VIP Suites have a king bed, a living room, pull out sofa, kids' play area and three flat panel TVs. Suites can sleep up to nine people. All rooms and suites have Lego models and a treasure chest, which can be unlocked only by completing a hotel scavenger hunt.
