Embassy Suites Hotels has announced a new property in Portland: the Embassy Suites Portland / Hillsboro. The 165 all-suite hotel is the first and only full service hotel in the Silicon Forest, Portland's tech hub.
The property offers 4,800 square feet of meeting space spread across six meeting rooms, three of which can be opened up to create a 3,0000-square-foot ballroom. For smaller sized meetings, guests have the option of selecting one of two board rooms, each able to host 14-16 people or one 780-square-foot flexible-space meeting room.
The restaurant and lounge Sprigs will service progressive regional cuisine highlighting the Pacific Northwest for lunch and dinner, including local microbrews and specialty cocktails. The hotel will also offer the signature amenities of the Embassy Suites brand, which include free made-to-order breakfast each morning, a two-hour complimentary Evening Reception and two-room suites with separate living area, private bedroom, two flatscreen high-definition televisions and wet bar fitted with a microwave, mini-fridge and a selection of gourmet coffee and teas from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. The hotel also offers complimentary Wi-Fi throughout, as well as a heated indoor saline pool and complimentary 24-7 fitness center. Guests have the personal choice of working on a PC or Apple computer in the complimentary 24-7 business center and can utilize PrinterOn, the remote printing service, throughout the hotel.
The property is in a major Portland tech neighborhood and 11 miles from the city's arts and culture area. Within a mile of the hotel is the MAX Light Rail line, which can be used to reach nearby Beaverton and downtown Portland, which offers shopping centers, restaurants, craft breweries and more. The hotel is also close to Hillsboro Airport and many of the area’s major companies, including IBM, Intel, Nike, Symantec, Wells Fargo, Solar World and Yahoo. Oregon's wine country and coast are also within day trip distance, and the Multnomah Falls are 45 minutes away.
