Meliá Hotels International announced this week that it will be opening a new hotel in Shanghai, China. Expected to open in July 2016, the Shanghai Hongqiao will join seven other Meliá properties in the region.
The new hotel will feature brand new amenities, private villas and guest services. Meliá’s new property will feature meeting rooms and executive lounges for companies. In addition, the hotel will be centrally located in west Shanghai next to the National Convention Ceand Exhibition Center and will be partnered with the Hongqiao Transportation Hub, including the airport and train station, making it a prime destination for international business in the Yangtze River Delta region.
The Shanghai Hongqiao will also serve as a travel hub for families looking to explore China. The new property will feature 190 new guestrooms, luxury residential villas, entertainment facilities, casual and fine cuisine and alfresco dining options.
