LUXURY HOTELS: SURVEY REVEALS MOST EXPENSIVE CITY HOTELS IN THE UNITED STATES

The Ritz-Carlton Central Park and the Mandarin Oriental New York are the most expensive luxury hotels in the United States. That’s according to a recent survey conducted by Luxury-Hotels.com

Indeed, according to the survey, the seven priciest city hotels in the United States are all located in Manhattan. The survey compared the nation’s luxury hotels using their cheapest available rate for a double room during the month of October 2015 as the basis of comparison. It chose October for comparative purposes because most U.S. cities, including New York City, reach their highest average hotel rates during that month.

With a minimum nightly rate of $995 for a double room, The Ritz-Carlton and the Mandarin Oriental top the rankings. Both are located just one block from the city’s popular Central Park, making them attractive to Big Apple visitors. The Baccarat Hotel, also located in Midtown Manhattan, takes the third spot on the survey. It comes in only five dollars cheaper than The Ritz-Carlton and the Mandarin Oriental.

The most expensive luxury hotel outside of NYC is located in Los Angeles. Averaging a minimum rate of $800 this October, the Montage Beverly Hills ranks eighth most expensive overall according to the survey. Only eleven dollars cheaper, the SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand reveals itself to be Las Vegas’s most expensive hotel.
