Turkey’s Kuzu Group has appointed Jumeirah Group, the global hotel company and a member of Dubai Holding, to operate a mixed-use development in the Ataköy district of Istanbul, Turkey.
The US$450m Sea Pearl development, which is anticipated to open in 2019, will include a luxury 202-room Jumeirah hotel and 62 private residences managed under the Jumeirah brand.
The developer, Kuzu Group, is well-established in Turkey and has already completed a number of high-end developments, with a special focus on large-scale residential projects.
Özen Kuzu, chief executive, Kuzu Group, said: “The Ataköy district is strategically located to attract both leisure and business travellers.

“This urban resort development will enjoy unrestricted views of the Marmara Sea and have a sense of peace and tranquillity, whilst also being closely connected to Istanbul’s historical centre just a short drive away.
“It is within close proximity to the Atatürk International Airport and an emerging commercial district, where several new mixed use projects are under development or recently completed.
“We are delighted to be partnering in this prominent and luxurious project with a worldwide renowned group such as Jumeirah.”
The 202 key hotel and 62 residential units located within the Sea Pearl Ataköy development are scheduled to open by 2019.
The hotel will feature rooms and various suite categories from 47 to 430 square-meters, while the residences will range from 57 square-meters (one bedroom) to 400 square-meters (five bedroom).
This prestigious development also includes a significant conference hall, a VIP Club facility measuring 2,873 square-meters, a Business Centre, a large sports complex, which will include a large spa and wellness facility with Turkish hammam as well as an indoor-outdoor swimming pool, a shopping arcade and several food and beverage facilities including a seafront dining area.

The Ataköy property will be the third in Turkey for Jumeirah Group which currently operates Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah, an iconic heritage hotel located in the heart of Istanbul, as well as the popular summer resort, Jumeirah Bodrum Palace, which is set along the spectacular Bodrum coast of the Aegean Sea.
