G Adventures is introducing three new itineraries for 2017 travel in Norway onboard its expedition ship, G Expedition.

The small group, small ship adventure travel operator is also offering a 15 percent early booking bonus for these trips, as well as for all other 2017 Longyearbyen, Svalbard, itineraries.

G Adventures’ early booking discount is valid for all bookings made before June 30, 2016, and applies to Norwegian and Artic itineraries departing between May 11, 2017, and August 11, 2017.

The three new Norwegian itineraries for 2017, which range from 8-15 days in length, are:

Cruise the Norwegian Fjords – Tromsø to Bergen –  Aimed at time-strapped guests, this eight-day expedition brings travelers to important places in Norway’s ancient history, UNESCO-protected historic sites, and areas of natural beauty. Normally priced from $2,499 pp, during the early booking period it is priced from $2,124 for an eight-day trip from Tromsø to Bergen.

Scottish Highlands and Norwegian Fjords – On this journey through the Norwegian Sea guests will discover UNESCO-protected wonders like the Standing Stones of Stennes and the Ring of Brodgar, witness the clash of cultures in the Shetland Islands, and view the forests and waterfalls that line the fjords. Normally priced from $4,999 pp, during the early booking period the itinerary is priced from $4,249 for a 14-day trip from Edinburgh to Tromsø.

Norwegian Fjords and Polar Bears of Spitsbergen – Travelers set sail from Bergen – the gateway to Norway’s fjords – to the remote shores of Svalbard on this itinerary across the Norwegian Sea. Guests can walk across the glaciers that carved the landscape, explore subarctic islands by Zodiac in search of polar bears, and walk through history at UNESCO-protected historical sites. Normally priced from $5,999 pp, during the early booking period this itinerary is priced from from $5,099 for a 15-day trip from Bergen to Longyearbyen.

The G Expedition is a smaller ship with the capability to get in and out of ports that larger ships cannot. It was completely refurbished in 2009 and outfitted with new engines in 2015. The vessel can comfortably accommodate up to 134 passengers with common areas and private spaces for rest and retreat, plus observation decks that provide panoramic views.

With G Adventures-trained Chief Experience Officers on board (local guides) and a passenger-to-crew ratio of about 10 to 1, the G Expedition also hosts cabins that each have ocean-facing windows or portholes, along with private en-suite facilities, climate control, a shared library, a lounge, a pub, and a computer room with limited Internet connectivity.
