red silk flowerChina Southern Airline (C.S. Air) just announced the launch of its new daily direct flights from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, to Guangzhou International Airport in Guangdong province, China.

In celebration of the new service, C.S. Air will be giving away hundreds of red silk cotton tree flowers, Guangzhou’s official city flower, in Herald Square on June 25 at 3 pm.

The new itineraries will be offered June 23 through September 11, with 10 nonstop flights each week between the two cities. The direct service marks the first daily flight from Southern China to America’s East Coast.

Daily flights will depart from JFK International Airport’s terminal four at 11:15 am and arrive in Guangzhou at 3 pm the next day. An additional three flights per week will also be offered on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, departing at 1:45 am from JFK and arriving at 5:45 am the following morning.
