Holland America Line showcased its new shipboard concepts and innovations — newly added on Eurodam — to the cruise media on Sunday while the ship was at Port Everglades, FL. These will be added to other ships in the line's fleet this year and over the next few years.
Here's a look at two of the newly redesigned suites on Eurodam, the Signature Suite #6068, and Neptune Suite #6064. The main living areas in each suite are refreshed with new furniture, carpet, wall coverings and soft goods. Electric upgrades include a new USB outlet in the bed's headboard, bedside LED reading lights, upgraded electrical outlets and a lighted closet rod. Neptune and Pinnacle suites also received a Bose Bluetooth speaker.
Suites also boast a new interactive television that was installed throughout the ship; it features large LED flatscreen televisions with complimentary movies on demand, digital daily programs, guest billing and shipboard information. Suite bathrooms also have received a makeover with designer glass tile serving as a backdrop to the refreshed vanity area. Guests will also discover contemporary mirros with integrated LED lighting, stylish floor tiles and a nightlife.
Eurodam also received other new spaces, including the line's first Gallery Bar, which replaces Northern Lights and serves an exclusive cocktail menu by celebrity mixologist Dale DeGroff. Billboard Onboard features two pianists providing live music plus video screens with trivia about the hits. At the new Lincoln Center Stage, musicians perform chamber music and classical twists on modern songs.
Here's our first look at two of the suite makeovers. We'll feature shots of the entertainment spaces in an upcoming story.
