Fairmont St Andrews, the luxury five-star hotel, has increased its presence in London with the appointment of Luke Geoghegan as business development manager.
His remit is to develop agency relationships and business across the capital and south of England.
Geoghegan joins from Stoke Park where he was head of membership, as well as holding prior roles in the five-star hospitality sector.
John Keating, general manager at Fairmont St Andrews added: “As a destination, St Andrews is renowned the world over for its association as the home of golf, however we have so much more to offer domestic and international business travellers.
“Luke will play a key role in building relationships across the capital with key stakeholders and event bookers, as we continue to grow the message behind Fairmont St Andrews.”

Fairmont St Andrews is dedicated to supporting Scotland’s burgeoning international presence as a business destination, which, along with recent expansion of travel routes to Amsterdam and Dusseldorf, sees Scotland remain the only country in the UK committed to subsidising successful new conference and events business.
Geoghegan cotinued: “London is the UK’s biggest market, and one of the largest, most creative and influential capital cities in the world. I come to this new role with a lot of excitement, and having worked in the five-star hospitality sector for many years, I’m confident of helping to develop Fairmont St Andrews and our business with London markets.”
