Accuweather reports that snow, rain and wind could be set to disrupt Thanksgiving travel from California to Minnesota.
“”We expect another large storm to roll from the Pacific and expand toward the Rockies during the week of Thanksgiving,” said AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Brett Anderson.
Accuweather forecasts that the first rain will hit along the Pacific coast, from Oregon to Washington, on Monday afternoon. The rain will then expand southward along the Pacific coast from Monday night through Wednesday, at the same time snow hits the Cascades, the Sierra Nevada, the Bitterroots and the Northern Rockies. Airports in Seattle, San Francisco and Salt Lake City could be affected by the storm.
The majority of U.S. travelers in the eastern part of the country do not have to expect snow and rain through Wednesday, Accuweather said.
