Bench Events expands team as portfolio grows Jonathan Worsley, chairman of Bench Events, has welcomed new members to the team

Bench Events has been on a recruitment drive, recently adding four members to its global team.

The company is incubating three to four investment conferences which it plans to launch during the next 12 months, alongside IHIF in Berlin, AHIC in Dubai, AHIF in Africa, and others it already operates.

Each of these events will bring the investment community together in new markets that have enormous potential for growth.

Jon Howell has joined the team as business development manager to engage new and existing customers.

He has over 15 years’ experience in the travel and tourism sector, most notably working on the aviation event “Routes”.

Joëlle Mottier has joined as an event co-ordinator to handle logistics, speaker liaison and media partners.

She has a background in cultural events and media production and is a graduate of the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne’s Executive MBA programme.
Sacha Serikoff has joined as assistant programmer, charged with content development and programming.

As personal assistant to Jonathan Worsley, chairman of Bench Events, Kim Dunford will oversee the company’s general administration including accounting, event websites and managing speaker administration for selected conferences.

Her extensive previous experience covers both the private and public sector working as a PA and administrator.

Worsley said: “We have made ambitious growth plans to reinforce our position as the leader in investment conferences for the hospitality industry and those plans require a strengthening of our team.

“Together with our partners Questex Hospitality Group in Europe and MEED Events in the Middle East, we look forward to continued growth in the hospitality industry.

“In this environment, I am very excited about our new recruits, who all have outstanding credentials for the roles we are asking them to play.
