Luxury cruise line Paul Gauguin Cruises has announced that it will be sailing to Fiji this fall on two exclusive voyages that will offer new offshore adventures.
The cruise line’s 10-night Roundtrip Fiji Voyage sails to New Caledonia, an island with French and Melanesian cultural influences. Guests will depart from Lautoka, Vitu Levu, Fiji on October 31, 2015, and sail to Isle de Pins, Noumea and Ile de Lifou in New Caledonia, as well as Tanna Island and Port Vila in Vanuatu. Each port of call has new shore excursions for guests, exploring the cultural, natural and historical environment of the islands.
In Ile de Lifou, guests will have the opportunity to explore Jokin, a small village famous for its vanilla plantation. Passengers will also have unique access to traditional cooking demos, including the local “bougna” method, where ingredients are wrapped in banana leaves and grilled on an open fire.

Paul Gauguin will also be offering its 12-and 13-night Fiji, Tonga, Cook & Society Islands Voyages, where guests will discover remote island villages, lush plantations and preserved rainforests. Guests will learn about the myths surrounding the people of Beqa Island and on Vanua Levu, passengers will visit Nukubalavu Village, where they will experience the daily lifestyles of the Fijian people. The 13-night expedition will depart October 17 and the 12-night voyage will depart November 10, 2015.
