Pandaw has announced that its inaugural sailing of its new Ha Long Bay and Red River itinerary was a success. The trip, which features stops in remote upstream villages along the Red and Da Rivers, was rated either “excellent” or “good” by 96 percent of its guests.
The 11-day, 10-night cruise departs from Hanoi, Vietnam, where guests will be transferred to their docked ship at Ha Long Bay. While exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Site, guests will see local villages and limestone caves in the bay.
The cruise continues along the Kinh Thay and Duong Rivers, where travelers will discover Yen Duc, Van Phuc silk villages and other craft villages. Guests will also get the chance to experience the infamous Hanoi Hilton, a prison during the Vietnam War.
On the Red and Da Rivers, travelers will take in the natural scenery, including rainforests, riverside villages and more. The trip will disembark in Mai Chau, where passengers will be transferred to Hanoi or Hanoi Airport.
The cruise will sail now through March 2016 in its first season and June through March 2017 in its second season. Rates begin at $2,600 per person.
