Outer Shores Expeditions will launch its newest itinerary, In the Wake of Captain James Cook, next season, the company reports.
Departing 2016, cruisers will experience an eight-day, seven-night expedition that highlights some of Captain Cook’s greatest adventures on Nootka Sound and Canada’s Pacific Coast. The trip will be led by local coastal archaeologists, anthropologists, and Outer Shore’s marine ecologist, Dr. Markel. On the cruise, guests will learn about the art, politics, fishing, hunting and daily lives of Nuu-chah-nulth Nations who traded with Cook and his men. Cruisers will also get to experience sea otters’ habitats and learn how British Colombia has helped them repopulate.
Guests will sail onboard Passing Cloud, a 70-foot schooner with luxury accommodations. Complete with four private staterooms, a west coast-style wheelhouse, a grand main salon and plenty of deck space, Passing Cloud can sleep up to eight guests.
The new tour will set sail starting May of 2016. Rates begin at $3,995. For more information, visit www.outershores.ca/expeditions/captain-cook/ or call 1-855-714-7233.
