Asian hospitality provider ONYX Hospitality Group has announced two new management contracts to operate properties in China, culminating in seven new properties to be completed on the mainland by 2018 in addition to the existing 11 properties.
Two properties are ideally and strategically located in Shanghai and Xiamen.
Shama Caojiadu Shanghai is located close to Jing’an area, which is one of Shanghai’s central business districts.
The property is the first cooperation with Shanghai Bao Shun Investment Company.
This fifth Shama serviced apartment in Shanghai will feature 168 units, consisting of studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments.
Facilities include breakfast area, fitness centre, lounge area and kids’ area.
It is scheduled to open in 2017.
The second project OZO Shishi Xiamen is a management agreement signed with Shishi Minnan Golden Coast Resort Company.
As part of the beachfront project ‘Gold Coast’, the hotel will feature 213 rooms, with OZO signature facilities such EAT all day dining outlet with an integrated pool bar, Splash swimming pool, Tone fitness centre, Talk meeting room and EAT2GO grab and go outlet.
The project will be completed and will begin operation by 2017.

Other pipeline ONYX properties in mainland China include Amari Huidong Guangdong, Shama Beijing, Shama Chengdu and Shama Guangzhou, as well as Amari Dali Yunnan.
