MexicoRiviera Nayarit just reported that it saw a significant increase in its first quarter statistics compared to 2014.

The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau reported an increase in revenue, hotel occupancy, room nights, and online sales, as well as the number of passengers arriving via air travel.

The resort reported an overall revenue increase of 19.47 percent compared to that of last year, and a 7.7 percent occupancy increase compared to the same period in 2014. The percentage of room nights also increased by 10 percent.

Online sales have reportedly risen due to seasonal promotions, campaigns and contests, which caused an 11 percent growth.

The Pacific Airport Group announced that the Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR), which serves both Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta, reported a 13.6 percent growth in tourist arrivals via air.
