Apple Leisure Group subsidiary, AMResorts, has announced its fifth hotel in the first quarter of 2015 with the signing of Zoetry Isla Di Oro Aruba.
The contract brings AMResorts’ award-winning brand Zoetry Wellness & Spa Resorts to Aruba for the first time and expands Apple Leisure Group’s rapidly growing footprint to its eighth country.
“Aruba reached the one-millionth tourist mark in 2014 and saw a 3.7 percent increase in arrivals from U.S. travelers,” said Alex Zozaya, CEO of Apple Leisure Group, in a written statement. “Now is the perfect time to enter the market and introduce our world-class products and services to Aruba’s booming tourism industry.”
The resort will be one of the first properties in the Caribbean featuring overwater bungalow-style accommodations, offering a unique experience to guests visiting the region.
The 126 suites will overlook a secluded inlet featuring magnificent views of the water and surrounding tropical landscape. The resort, owned by developer/hotelier, Franz Sydow, and an international investment group, will start construction in 2015 and welcome guests in the summer of 2018.
Upon opening in the Isla Di Oro area, this will be the fifth property for the luxury boutique hotel brand Zoetry Wellness & Spa Resorts.
“Entering Aruba with a resort offering that is different from anything in our portfolio demonstrates Apple Leisure Group’s ability to merge owners’ interests and travelers’ desires with opportunities in the market,” said Javier Coll, executive vice president and chief strategy officer of Apple Leisure Group. “Our multi-faceted industry expertise is a valuable resource for those interested in bringing luxury resorts to the Caribbean, as we know where travelers want to go and how to strategically position owners in those markets.”
