South African Airways (SAA) has resumed nonstop service on daily flights between Johannesburg and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, operating on a year-round basis.
SAA's daily flight from New York-JFK to Johannesburg had previously offered nonstop service for several years; however, the return flight was making a 1-hour stop in Dakar, Senegal, during the low season winter months.
Due to the popularity of the route, SAA will now offer nonstop flights in both directions, reducing the overall travel time by nearly 90 minutes. The flight is the fastest way to travel between South Africa and New York.
South African Airways is the continent's most awarded airline, and serves 67 destinations worldwide in partnership with SA Express, Airlink and its low-cost carrier Mango.
