Travel documentsInternational Business Times reports that New Zealand will be offering Chinese business events visitors fast-tracked visa processing facilities beginning March 2015.

The decision follows the recent signing of a MoU by Tourism New Zealand (TNZ), Immigration New Zealand (INZ) and 12 business events travel agents. The agreement aims to simplify business travel for Chinese visitors.

The benefits of the pared-down processing include an INZ point of contact reserved for questions and the streamlining of documents for Visa applications through partner agents. Once documents are submitted, the processing is completed in three days.

Reducing paperwork and accelerating the rate of visa processing is expected to drive tourism, given that the business sector has proven to be a driving force in the New Zealand travel industry. In the last 18 months, TNZ hosted 2,631 business events travellers and added $19 million to the country's economy.
