Royal Caribbean International has partnered with hospitality technology provider Eleven to provide unlimited onboard Internet access based on a per day rate.
By the end of 2014 Royal Caribbean had deployed the ElevenOS guest Internet management platform across its entire fleet of ships, including the new Quantum of the Seas, according to a release from Eleven. ElevenOS allows Royal Caribbean to offer Internet on a per-day rate, as well as tiered bandwidth options.
Additionally, Quantum of the Seas, Allure of the Seas and Oasis of the Seas are equipped with satellite technology that increases connection speeds. Anthem of the Seas, the second ship in the Quantum class, will launch in April with this satellite capability, as well as the ElevenOS platform.
