Management shake up at Norwegian Cruise Line as new leadership comes onboard

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has announced executive appointments reporting directly to president and chief executive Frank Del Rio.

The new appointments including Bob Binder, who will take up the role of president of international operations, while Howard Sherman, will come onboard as executive vice president, revenue management.

At the same time Robin Lindsay will become executive vice president, vessel operations, Victor Gonzalez becomes executive vice president, supply chain and logistics management and Harry Sommer will take up the roles of senior vice president and chief integration officer.

“Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings is on an incredible growth trajectory.

“The board of directors and I have been working closely to fine-tune our vision for the future and how we can best channel the core competencies of our three great brands and the talents of our 30,000 team members,” said Del Rio.

“To that end, we have crafted an organisational structure with both centralised and brand-specific functions and selected seasoned leaders that will carry out that vision.”

Drew Madsen and Jason Montague will continue as president and chief operating officers of Norwegian Cruise Line and Oceania Cruises/Regent Seven Seas Cruises respectively.

Wendy Beck will continue in her role as executive vice president and chief financial officer with additional responsibilities for support services.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings is a diversified cruise operator of leading global cruise lines spanning market segments from contemporary to luxury under the Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises brands.

These brands operate a combined 21 ships with approximately 40,000 lower berths visiting more than 430 destinations worldwide.

The company’s brands will introduce six ships through 2019.
