One Aldwych, a discreet and stylish boutique hotel in London’s Covent Garden, has devised a divine and sensible solution: Live at One. Every few weeks, the hotel opens its private screening room for a live broadcast of a current London production, and includes a three-course dinner before the show and a glass of bubbly.
In the coming months, One Aldwych is hosting several Live at One events—including the Old Vic’s production of The Crucible, the National Theater’s Man and Superman (with Ralph Fiennes), as well as live streams from the Royal Opera House of the classic Swan Lake and Puccini’s La Bohème. The cost of this comfortable cultured evening runs a surprisingly reasonable £49.50 per person. Makes you want to book one of the dreamy guestrooms upstairs, too, and live the life a London arts patron for a brief while, doesn't it?
