Big Bus Tours London is unveiling details of its ‘Leader of the Flock’ sponsorship of the Shaun in the City arts trail.
The trail is being launched in London in late March following the nationwide release of Aardman’s Shaun the Sheep – The Movie.
To celebrate, Big Bus Tours will be introducing a number of exclusive sightseeing promotions aimed at families who want to make the most of the city.
As the sole sightseeing partner of Shaun in the City, Big Bus Tours is sponsoring its own Shaun the Sheep sculpture, which will be displayed at a prominent central London location.
The sculpture will form part of the Shaun in the City art trail.
Some 50 giant Shaun sculptures designed by celebrities and artists will be placed in iconic locations across the capital between March 28th and May 25th.
Big Bus Tours passengers will be able to follow the trail with an exclusive Big Bus Tours map showing the locations of the sculptures.
Big Bus Tours will be the only sightseeing company showcasing the trail in this way.
To celebrate Shaun the Sheep’s visit to London, Big Bus Tours has also created a guided walk, included as part of a Big Bus Tours ticket, allowing tourists and families to experience the Shaun in the City trail on foot as well on board the bus.
Younger fans will also receive a special kids pack featuring Aardman Animations’ Wallace & Gromit characters.
The pack will be available on Big Bus Tours for a limited time during 2015 and will be included in the price of a Big Bus Tours ticket.
Family tickets, bought online, start from £62.
Individual adult and child tickets are £25 and £12 respectively.
The ticket price includes one of three guided walks, including the Shaun in the City walk, and complimentary access to the City Cruises river tour.
Following the trail, the sculptures will be auctioned to raise funds for Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity, helping to improve the quality of life for children in hospitals and hospices across the UK.
Big Bus will be donating £1 from every Shaun in the City tour ticket sold to the charity.
Bernice Windley, London sales and marketing manager, Big Bus Tours said: “Shaun the Sheep was recently voted the nation’s best loved BBC children’s TV character of all time.
“The forthcoming Shaun in the City art trail gives Big Bus Tours the opportunity to celebrate this worldwide family favourite, and let visitors of all ages discover our fantastic city through the eyes of Shaun himself.
“Big Bus Tours is proud and excited to be part of such a fun city-wide event whilst raising money for a deserving cause.”
