Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection will be the first river cruise line to offer complimentary access to digital newsstand, PressReader, for all guests on-board their company-owned ships in Europe.
As part of their on-going focus on providing an incredibly personalised experience, Uniworld will now give their guests a choice of premium newspapers and magazines from all over the world.
PressReader is available on many major ocean cruise lines, but the partnership with Uniworld marks its first launch in the river cruise industry.
With PressReader, passengers can download full versions of their favourite titles onto their own laptops, tablets and smartphones.
Available UK titles include The Guardian, Daily Telegraph, The Observer, Daily Mail, Top Gear, Homes & Antiques Magazine, Sussex Life and hundreds of international titles too.
“Uniworld is delighted to be the first river cruise line to offer PressReader, a wonderful way for our guests to access newspapers and magazines they wish to read on their devices,” stated Kathryn Beadle, managing director of Uniworld UK.
Uniworld guests simply need to download the PressReader app on their iOS, Android or Windows smartphone or tablet before departing.
Once the cruise departs, guests will have complimentary access to Uniworld curated PressReader content on-board and throughout the duration of their cruise.
“PressReader is the worldwide standard for digital reading in thousands of hotels, libraries, ocean cruise lines, restaurants and offices,” said PressReader chief commercial officer Igor Smirnoff.
“We’re happy to be partnering with Uniworld, precisely because we know that travellers today want a personalised experience and a home-away-from-home.”
