P&O Cruises has announced it has partnered with Stackla – the social content aggregation, curation and publishing platform – as part of a move designed to showcase cruise holidays through the eyes of real travellers.
P&O Cruises has worked with Stackla to launch a ‘Social Wall’ – a new addition to the website which brings together images of cruise holidays as enjoyed by recent P&O Cruises customers.
The Stackla-powered Social Wall presents these images on one page for the viewer, offering an intimate and authentic insight into the different cruise holiday experiences.
The images and captions on the Social Wall are rich and varied, ranging from selfies taken next to the ship’s on-board pool, to photos of wildlife taken during exploration on land.
The Social Wall is fun and straightforward to navigate, and challenges users’ views of what cruise holidays traditionally offer.
Pete Burns, head of digital marketing at P&O Cruises commented: “Cruise holidays have become increasingly popular as a holiday option for UK travellers, and cruises today cater for a wide range of ages and budgets.
“We’ve found that 97 per cent of people who have booked a cruise would do so again, and we wanted to let those travellers’ positive experiences do the talking.
“Images are a very powerful way of doing this, and our Social Wall is really about highlighting that moment the unique elements of cruise, but through the eyes of real travellers.
“We particularly like the simple design of the Social Wall interface, and it’s been very quick to implement and customise.”
The Social Wall was launched as part of P&O Cruise’s ‘This Is The Life’ campaign, during which cruise customers were invited to upload their favourite cruise moments to social media channels, accompanied by the ‘#ThisIsTheLife’ hashtag.
Andy Mallinson, European managing director of Stackla, commented: “When P&O Cruises briefed us on building the Social Wall, it was clear that the stunning imagery from customers was going to be a core part of the design.
“The photos offer an alternative and refreshingly intimate insight into cruise holidays, allowing P&O Cruises to drive engagement levels with new customers.
“P&O Cruises has a host of recent travellers who have enjoyed a fantastic cruise holiday, and the Social Wall is an effective way of letting prospective customers know what they could look forward to with their own holiday.”
