Turkish Airlines to grow presence at Edinburgh Airport

Turkish Airlines has confirmed it will grow the number of weekly flights from Edinburgh Airport to Istanbul to ten flights per week.

The increase indicates the popularity of the airline as Edinburgh gets ready to implement the additional flights from March 27th, 2016.

With this rise in flights from Edinburgh, Turkish Airlines implements double daily flights between Edinburgh and Istanbul on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

Gordon Dewar, Edinburgh Airport chief executive, said: “This is great news and I wholeheartedly welcome the confidence that Turkish airlines have shown in Edinburgh Airport.

“Edinburgh Airport and Turkish Airlines complement one another and have grown together; this increased frequency between Scotland and Istanbul – which is massive global hub – takes our passenger choice to a new level.”
