For the first time, Orlando International Airport is offering daily, nonstop service to the Middle East.

OIA officials announced Tuesday that starting September 1, it would partner with Emirates to begin offering flights between Orlando and Dubai.

Orlando is the 10th U.S. destination offered by Emirates, which offers service to 145 destinations in 80 countries. Emirates is the latest international airline to launch service to OIA, adding to worldwide traffic that the airport said grew 9.6 percent in 2014 and represented 12 percent of its total traffic activity.

With 35 million annual passengers, OIA is the second-busiest airport in Florida and the 14th-busiest in the U.S.

Emirates said seats on the 15-hour flights would range from $990 for economy seats to $9,990 for first-class.
