Club Med reveals second luxury property in Senegal

Club Med has announced its second resort in Senegal, which will be open to public from 2017.

With 358 rooms and suites totalling 860 beds, the new four star development will sit on the stunning stretch of coast in Western Africa known as the Petite Côte, staying true to Club Med’s positioning as a family-orientated, all-inclusive premium holiday provider.

It will sit as a four star resort within the Club Med Trident rating, with integrated five star luxury space for holidaymakers looking for added luxury.

After opening its doors to public in 2017 the resort will be open year-round, with dedicated clubs for children and teenagers aged four and over.

Estelle Giraudeau managing director from Club Med commented: “UK holidaymakers are demanding more from their holidays, as well an increased appetite for more exotic, far flung destinations.

“With our new resort opening in Senegal Brits will be able to experience a premium all-inclusive service as well as being able to enjoy authentic local food and experiences in the comfort of our four and five star spaces.”

The announcement comes as the Senegalese government show a growing commitment to building the countries reputation as a tourist destination.

The new Club Med resort is predicted to create more than 1,000 jobs and welcome 30,000 customers every year, in addition to the 8,000 holidaymakers received each year at Club Med’s Cap Skirring Village in the Casamance region.
