If you’re still searching for the perfect gift for the aviation enthusiast in your life, tickets to an authentic, first-class meal service in a perfect replica of a Pan Am aircraft might do the trick.

After boarding a refurbished Boeing 747, guests to the Pan Am Stage—a partnership with Air Hollywood—will get a blast from the past, with flight attendants in iconic, mod uniforms serving signature fare from original Pan Am flatware.

“Pan Am spoke to so many people,” said Rob Shalhoub of Air Hollywood. “It was the airline of the era.”

No one appreciates this more than Anthony Toth, the man who began amassing an enormous collection of Pan Am memorabilia currently on display at the Pan Am Stage. From his first flight with the airline at the age of 5, Toth was completely obsessed.  “Back then, every detail of a Pan Am 747 reflected the rich history of the airline, [such as] the carpeted walls…the gold Clipper ship that was the focal point of décor.”

Of course, a ticket to this half-museum-half-restaurant will cost nearly as much as a plane ticket, or a round-trip flight. Tickets range from $267 to $327 for a seat in the First Class upper-deck dining room.

What does a boarding pass get you? Access to Toth’s 40-years-in-the-making treasury (a complete set of rare Pan Am Presidential china; original photographs), a glass of champagne, and a four-course meal (Chateaubriand carved seat side; dessert from a trolley).

Talaat Captan, the founder and CEO of Air Hollywood, hopes this collaboration becomes more than just dinner theater for Pan Am fans and aviation geeks.

“To carry on the traditions of Pan Am is an honor and a privilege,” Captan said. “[While] reconnecting people with this iconic brand, [I hope] to introduce Pan Am’s legacy of excellence to a new generation.”

The extra-spacious cabin and real, non-plastic glassware won’t go unnoticed by nostalgia-seekers or the first-time Pan Am passengers.

Dates for the first quarter of the New Year were just announced, with the first dinner being held on Saturday, January 17 and continuing on select Saturdays until March 28. Future dates have yet to be released.
