A300 Airbus sunk off coast of Turkey to boost diving tourism

An A300 Airbus jet has been sunk off the Aegean coast in a bid to attract more diving tourists to the region.

Turkish Authorities lowered the plane to the bottom of the sea off resort of Kuşadası on Aegean coast, 50 miles south of Izmir on June 4th. The plane is 54 metres long and has a wingspan of 44 metres.

This is one of the latest initiatives that Turkey has put into place to promote its diving tourism industry during volatile times for the region.
