Palace Resorts has seen travel demand growth of nearly 20 per cent in 2014 when compared to 2013.
The brand is also reporting an increase in the average length of guest stay from four nights to more than five nights and growth in the weddings, golf and spa segments across the brand’s eight oceanfront properties in Mexico and the Caribbean.
In 2014, the markets that generated the most demand for Palace Resorts were the United States and United Kingdom.
The United States market reported a growth of more than 50 per cent when compared to 2013, while United Kingdom reported a growth of 20 per cent.
The fastest growing feeder markets in 2014 included Canada with a 51.4 per cent increase and Asia with a 46.7 per cent increase.
“Last year marked a record-breaking year in Palace Resorts’ 30-year history.
“The company’s success and rapid growth can be attributed to our high-quality product, service-oriented employees, strategic partners and commitment to surpassing expectations by redefining the notion of what an all-inclusive can and should offer,” said Gibran Chapur, executive vice president for Palace Resorts.
“As we look to the future, we are eager to continue the momentum and development of the brand.
“The next stage for Palace Resorts is being marked with the pending unveiling of our first property outside of Mexico, Moon Palace Jamaica Grande.
“While we look forward to further expansion throughout Mexico, the Caribbean and beyond, Palace Resorts is committed to maintaining our core portfolio in 2015 via enhancement projects, new offerings and impactful events and attractions.”
In 2014, Palace Resorts launched an annual golf tournament as a result of an alliance between the brand’s philanthropic organisation, the Palace Foundation, and the Lorena Ochoa Foundation, a charity overseen by world-renowned Mexican golfer, Lorena Ochoa.
The tournament was created by The Palace Foundation with the goal of raising funds for the construction of Casa Hogar Palace, an orphanage for 95 local children set to open in 2015.
Palace Resorts celebrated the launch of the brand’s first annual Palace Experience Global Conference.
The brand hosted industry insiders and VIPs including top travel agents, industry delegates and tour operators during an event-filled weekend complete with educational seminars, sales-driven workshops, entertainment and more.
The Global Conference was created to reinforce and enhance the brand’s commitment to the travel agent community.
In 2014, Palace Resorts announced the brand’s first property outside of Mexico; perhaps the most exciting development in the company’s 30-year history.
Following a multi-million dollar transformation, the soon to open Moon Palace Jamaica Grande will boast more than 700 guestrooms and suites with oceanfront views of the Caribbean Sea.
With aesthetics by cutting-edge designer Francois Frossard, upon completion, Moon Palace Jamaica Grande will feature multiple lavish swimming pools, five high-end restaurants, a gourmet corridor and a FlowRider Double wave simulator.
The property will also include a Wired Teens Lounge, ‘The Playroom’, Noir nightclub, signature Awe-Spa with dedicated wellness centre and 25,000 square feet of multifunctional meeting and event space.
Opening February 2015, Grammy-Award winning singer and entertainer Shaggy will appear in concert at the inaugural celebration of Moon Palace Jamaica Grande.
